Why choose a boat tour in Syracuse
You cannot really understand Syracuse from land alone. Its Greek walls, the sea caves of Ortigia, the Plemmirio marine reserve and the coves around Capo Murro di Porco only reveal themselves from the water. The coves not to miss
The stretch between Ognina and Capo Murro di Porco hides small coves only reachable by sea: Cala Mosche, the recesses under the lighthouse, the Grotta del Formaggio and the inlets of the Plemmirio. We bring masks and a SUP: the seabeds here are full of fish, posidonia meadows and small walls dropping into the deep.

When to go
The season runs from April to October. The best months are June, September and early October: the water is still warm, fewer boats are around, the light is perfect for photos. July and August are stunning but busier: book in advance.
Practical tips
- Bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen (biodegradable if possible) and a hat.
- Reef shoes are handy for the rocky coves.
- Camera or smartphone in a waterproof case.
- If you get seasick, take something the night before: the RIB is stable but there are waves.

No. Life jackets are on board for everyone and the skipper stays close during swims.
